People juggling work, travel, and daily life spend their day switching between a dozen-plus apps just to stay on top of things and still end up doing leftover admin instead of resting. Current "smart" assistants only go so far: they search and suggest, but can't complete tasks across apps or act with real context. The gap isn't intelligence it's empathy.

Orbit OS turns the OS itself into a context engine instead of an app launcher. Intelligence travels with the user sensing time, activity, and location - and orchestrates tasks across phone, watch, tablet, and workspace. It's adaptive, proactive, and empathetic, deciding what to surface and when, and delivering the right nudge or action automatically, without the user opening an app.

Orbit OS is a concept built for Samsung's Hackathon, exploring seamless experiences beyond apps. It starts from the insight that people don't need more features, they need less fragmentation. Instead of manually chasing tasks across separate apps, Orbit senses context (time, location, activity, device) and proactively acts - prepping what's needed, drafting responses, or handling bookings before being asked. Built around six behaviors: adaptive, intuitive, proactive, flexible, empathetic, insightful. it's demonstrated across everyday scenarios like a rushed morning, a packed midday, and a long afternoon, showing how intelligence can move fluidly with the user instead of being locked inside any single app or device.
